Could you picture yourself as the person who helps create a safe, welcoming space where students can thrive every day? Lift Schools is looking for a School Facilities Manager to join our team and help ensure our school runs smoothly, safely and effectively.

Your new school
Lift East Wichel is an Ofsted-rated outstanding school and TES Primary School of the Year. We are proud of the high standards we set for our pupils and the supportive ambitious culture we have built for our staff. From April 2026, East Wichel joined Lift Schools, a national trust of 62 schools. This means we will retain our strong local identity while benefiting from the expertise, professional development and opportunities that come with being part of a large and ambitious trust.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and high-performing team led by the Principal Paula Phillips, who has been at the school for over seven years and has created a culture where staff are supported to thrive and develop. There has never been a more exciting time to join our school.

About the role
As School Facilities Manager, you'll look after the day-to-day running of our school site. You'll make sure the building and grounds are safe, clean and ready for learning. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with colleagues, contractors and the wider team to create a space where everyone feels supported.

Carry out minor repairs and report any bigger maintenance needs
Open and close the school daily, and act as a key holder for emergencies
Complete health and safety checks and keep clear records
Support contractors on site and guide them through planned work
Help set up spaces for events, lessons and community activities

We are looking for someone who
You don't need to have done this exact role before, but you should have some background in building care, cleaning or site management. You'll have GCSE Maths and English (or similar), good DIY skills and a full UK driving licence. You'll be comfortable using basic IT and able to carry out general repairs and safety checks.

Just as important is how you work with others. Can you manage your own time, communicate clearly with different people, and use your initiative to solve problems? We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to get stuck in.
