Lecturer in Sport Rehabilitation

Lecturer Sports Rehabilitation in the Division of Dietetics, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Radiography
Hours: 0.6 FTE 21 hours per week
Grade and Salary: Grade 8: £44,128 - £55,755 pro/rata per annum (with possible progression to £62,728 per annum)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Health Sciences at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and contribute to high-quality and transformative educational experiences for students in an innovative and high-tech learning environment. You will be part of a lively and committed team delivering and growing our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of Sports Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy. In addition, where relevant, you will have an opportunity to contribute to programmes across the Division, School and University.
The School delivers a breadth of professional programmes such as Sports Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Dietetics, Therapeutic and Diagnostic Radiography, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapies, Speech and Hearing Science, Nursing and Paramedic Science. As such, we are in a unique position to develop opportunities for multi-professional and interdisciplinary learning, teaching, and research.
To apply for this role, you must be registered with either BASRaT as a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator or the HCPC as a Physiotherapist. Hold a first degree or equivalent in either Physiotherapy or Sports Rehabilitation or Sports Therapy and a Postgraduate degree, or be near completion, in an area relevant to sports rehabilitation. Recent experience of undertaking student assessment and facilitating learning and teaching in sports rehabilitation / physiotherapy in practice or a Higher Education context is essential
