AI Officer - Lead the Future of Learning
Are you the kind of person who gets excited about ethical algorithms, AI in classrooms and making tech work for people? We are looking for an AI Officer to help us navigate the future, responsibly, creatively and collaboratively. You will be the go-to person for all things AI across our Trust, leading strategy, training and innovation with a strong ethical compass and a dash of boldness.Job Title: AI Officer
Location: Central Team - hybrid
Contract Type: Secondment, 1 Year (1 day a week)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer
What You Will Be Doing- Craft and lead our AI strategy
- Keep us compliant with laws, ethics, and data protection - you're our AI conscience.
- Run workshops and training that make AI less scary and more empowering.
- Chair our AI Steering Group and collaborate with educators, students, families, and tech teams.
- Report on progress, impact, and cool things we're doing with AI.
- Stay ahead of the curve - we want your insights, not just your spreadsheets.
Who You AreMust-Have:
Experience in AI or tech in education
Strong grasp of AI ethics, legislation, and practical applications
Brilliant communicator and project wrangler
Passionate about inclusion, safeguarding, and doing tech the right way
You live our values: curious, candid, creative, and kind
Nice-to-Have:
✨ Formal qualifications in AI, computer science, law, or edtech
✨ Experience training staff or engaging stakeholders
✨ Familiarity with AI tools used in schools
