Working in a modern well-equipped environment this position assists the delivery of lunches to over 1650 people on a daily basis during term time and regular school functions throughout the term.
Working hours: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 8.30am - 3.00pm, 36 weeks per year, additional overtime available on Thursday and Friday from 10.30am - 4.00pm until end of Autumn term 2026.
Main duties will include
:- using dishwashers, cleaning, restocking of cutlery and crockery
- assisting with function work (setting up, serving and clearing)
- basic food preparation
- serving pupils
The successful candidate should have:
- the ability to work within a team in a fast-paced, pressurised kitchen environment whilst maintaining high standards
- good communication skills with an approachable manner - contact with pupils and staff is on a daily basis and maintaining open communication is essential
- experience of catering is desirable, but full training can be provided
- basic knowledge of food hygiene would be an advantage but full training can be offered
