FTE Salary: up to £41,076.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary for 29.6 hours: up to £32,860.80
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time/Part-Time
Working Hours: 37 hours per weekThere is an option for a 29.6 hours per week contract, please specify in your application if you are interested in the part-time hours.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Design and deliver vibrant, ambitious GCSE Maths lessons that spark curiosity, build confidence, and meet the diverse needs of learners-ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
- Champion learner progress by actively monitoring development, offering timely, high‑quality feedback, and implementing effective interventions that help learners achieve meaningful and measurable success.
- Work collaboratively across curriculum areas, bringing Maths to life by supporting colleagues to embed numeracy skills in engaging, relevant, and innovative ways across the wider learning experience.
- Contribute to a culture of professional excellence by sharing creative teaching ideas, fresh approaches, and evidence‑informed strategies that elevate Maths delivery across the College.
- Ensure learner journeys are clearly captured, maintaining accurate, insightful records that feed into reviews, reports, and continuous quality improvement-helping shape the future direction of the department.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications- A proven track record of empowering learners, with experience in educational settings where you've inspired confidence, motivation, and a genuine enjoyment of Maths.
- A strong academic foundation in Mathematics, demonstrated through a degree-level qualification or equivalent, or substantial subject expertise gained through relevant professional experience.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to connect effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners, and contribute positively to a collaborative team culture.
- A commitment to ongoing professional growth, including a readiness to work towards a Stage 3 full teaching qualification (such as a PGCE in Post-16 Education) if not already achieved.
- A flexible, learner-centred mindset, with the ability to adapt your teaching to meet diverse needs-ensuring every student feels supported, challenged, and able to succeed.
