We are looking for a Vice Principal to play a central role in the leadership of Cromwell Community College. As a key member of the senior team, this role combines strategic influence with visible, day-to-day leadership, shaping the quality of teaching and learning across the college while helping colleagues grow and succeed. Working closely with the Executive Principal, the Vice Principal will lead professional development, quality assurance and performance review with clarity, warmth and high expectations. This is a role for an experienced leader who believes that investing in people strengthens outcomes for young people, and who is ready to help drive sustained improvement through collaboration and trust-wide support.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for learning and teaching, driving consistent improvement through robust monitoring, feedback and quality assurance.
- Lead and shape professional development and the performance review cycle to strengthen staff practice and support continuous improvement.
- Line manage faculties and key staff, maintaining a strong focus on pupil progress and inclusive achievement.
- Contribute to whole-college strategy, self-evaluation and improvement planning, deputising for the Principal where required.
- Promote collaboration, safeguarding and positive relationships with governors, partners and the wider trust community.
