FTE Salary: Up to £31, 815.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: Up to £28,317.02 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only

We're looking for dynamic, empathetic individuals to join our Wellbeing Services team as a Safeguarding & Wellbeing Practitioner, supporting the students at either our Filton or WISE Campus. This role is about walking alongside our learners-especially those facing challenges-and helping them feel safe, seen, and supported.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Building Trusting Relationships: You'll offer 1:1 wellbeing support to learners, creating a safe space where they feel heard and understood.
- Championing Learner Success: Working closely with tutors, families, and external partners, you'll help learners stay engaged in college life and reach their goals.
- Safeguarding with Care: As a named Safeguarding Officer, you'll be a key point of contact for concerns, responding with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Collaborating for Impact: You'll work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure learners receive the right support at the right time.
- Supporting Specific Groups: You'll provide focused support to students with a Social Worker, Children Looked After, Care Leavers, and Young Adult Carers, helping them navigate college life with confidence.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications- Experience of supporting young people (14+) with emotional, social, or mental health needs.
- A trauma-informed approach that values dignity, choice, and empowerment.
- Skills or knowledge in areas like youth work, health, housing, education, or social care.
- Confidence in maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively within a team.
