At Sidegate Primary School, we are seeking a Midday Supervisor who wants to play an important part in shaping that experience for our pupils. This is a people-facing role built on trust, attentiveness and care, supporting children during meals and play, modelling positive behaviour and helping create a settled, inclusive atmosphere. As part of a committed midday team within Active Learning Trust, the role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to school life and to the wellbeing of a diverse primary community. It suits someone who brings warmth, common sense and consistency, and who understands the quiet importance of getting the everyday right for children.
Location: Sidegate Primary School
Contract: Permanent, Part Time
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 11:30am-1:00pm
Salary: ALT Grade B - £4,137.90-£4,170.44, Annually, Actual
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime and playtime, maintaining a safe, orderly and positive environment
- Support pupils with practical needs, including minor spills, play activities and simple disputes
- Promote and reinforce the academy's behaviour expectations during the midday break
- Monitor dining and playground areas to ensure health, safety and safeguarding are upheld
- Provide basic first aid and report incidents, concerns or injuries in line with academy procedures
