Queen Margaret University is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex projects within its University-wide Transformation Programme.
Reporting to the Director of Transformation, you will turn agreed strategic priorities and approved business cases into clear, deliverable plans. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams across academic and professional services, maintaining effective control of scope, resources, milestones, risks, dependencies, costs and benefits.
The role includes developing roadmaps and business cases, managing suppliers, supporting effective governance and preparing concise, decision-focused reports for senior leaders and project boards. You will line-manage the Project Support Officer and help strengthen consistent project and programme management practice across QMU.
You will bring significant experience of delivering complex projects in a large organisation, supported by strong knowledge of project governance, risk, benefits and organisational change. You will be comfortable working with ambiguity, facilitating challenging discussions and influencing senior stakeholders across organisational boundaries. Experience of higher education, public-sector transformation, operating-model redesign or digital and data change would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading delivery role in a significant programme of institutional change, helping QMU improve its services, ways of working and experience for students and staff.
