We are excited to offer an opportunity for an ambitious and passionate colleague to become our ALS Transitions Team Leader. In this strategic and influential role, you will lead the development of an outstanding transition service, supporting learners with SEND as they progress into, through, and beyond college. Working with colleagues across the organisation and a wide range of external partners, you will drive innovation, shape future-ready pathways, and ensure every learner has the opportunity to achieve meaningful progression, greater independence, and successful destinations. This is a unique opportunity to lead positive change, develop a talented team, and play a key role in delivering the College's vision for inclusion and learner success.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Lead, coach and support a team of ALS Transitions Coordinators, ensuring a consistent, high-quality transition experience for learners with SEND across all campuses.
- Develop and implement effective transition pathways that support learners into, through and beyond college, promoting independence, progression and positive destinations.
- Build strong partnerships with schools, Local Authorities, employers and external agencies to enhance learner opportunities and reduce the risk of learners becoming NEET.
- Monitor transition data, EHCP processes and learner outcomes to drive continuous improvement, compliance and service excellence
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications- Significant experience working with learners with SEND, including a strong understanding of EHCP processes and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience or demonstration of transferable leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive high performance.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience of working collaboratively with education, health and care professionals.
